It’s wonderful when reading blogs around WordPress to find someone who lives right in your own backyard! I live here in Orlando as well. So happy I stumbled across your blog! I attended a retreat on contemplative prayer at Canterbury Retreat Center in Oviedo which had at its goal a prayerful preparation for the coming Advent season. I thank you for your writing which will also be a reflective reminder of the season.

Thanks so much for the call to embrace the Mystery which is always present but perhaps even more so during this season. In our technologically advanced society, we have access to vast expanses of knowledge. But still there is Mystery. Thanks be to God!

Here we go again and I’m ready to step through the door. I have your Advent Door print from last year on my wall as a reflective piece for the Season. I’m glad you decided to go ahead even if not daily. Now, to decide what to take along and what to leave behind in order to receive what God will reveal. It’s a wonderful reminder that God works in the darkness as well as the light. I’m looking forward to the treasures.
